It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to introduce <br />Ordinance No. 1718, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving Case RZ-97-03, to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to remove the Civic <br />Overlay District, Chapter 18.72 and to remove the Civic Overlay District designation from <br />the Zoning Map. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti and Vice-Mayor Pico. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarver <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis commented that it is important to go through the regulations on a regular <br />basis. As build-out is reached, the City will be more concerned with revitalization issues, and <br />less concerned with development issues, and the City will need to be able to compete with <br />development of farmland, by having regulations that appropriately guide people and are easy to <br />deal with. <br /> <br />7.
