(IR97:33)
No action was taken or required on this item.

Jack Hovingh, 4250 Muirwood Drive, in regards to Item 4b, commented he was pleased
the City of Pleasanton declared June 15-21 as Affordable Housing Week. Unfortunately, there
is much more rhetoric concerning affordable housing than there is action. He said that at
buildout the City of Pleasanton is required by the General Plan to have 4300 affordable units;
currently he felt there were about 1300 units. He has not seen much action in achieving the total
affordable units for the City of Pleasanton and would like to see the Council work toward
achieving the total number of affordable housing units before buildout.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Marco Milanese, representing Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher, commented
Congresswoman Tauscher has three offices located within the Tri-Valley area. The main office
is located in Walnut Creek (932-8899), with a satellite office in Dublin (829-0813) and Antioch.

Pleasanton City Council 6/17/97
Minutes 4
