6, PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />RZ-97-02. City of Pleasanton <br />Request for a planned Unit Development prezoning to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />- LDR (Low DenSity Residential) District of approximately 34.5 acres of pro_oerty located <br />at 2201, 2207, 2215, 2221, and 2313 Martin Avenue. and 3547. 3711. 3737. 3747 and 3757 <br />Trenery Drive, (SR 97:69) <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis asked if there was sufficient on-site parking and whether the street would <br />ever be accepted as a public street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the project was designed with off-street parking and the residents in the <br />neighborhoed do not want it to be accepted by the City. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked if staff' s recommendation is to annex these properties. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the action to proceed to LAFCO will take place at a subsequent meeting. <br />The Council will need to hold another formal hearing to decide about annexation. <br /> <br /> George McMillion, 3785 Trenery Drive, said he felt there would be a parking problem <br />if this development goes forward. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said the street will remain a no parking area and the homeowners can have <br />cars towed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if there is a current problem of cars parking on the street. <br /> <br /> Mr. McMillion said there is no problem, but felt added development will encourage <br />parking on the street. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala said the way to safeguard this is to require no parking on the street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift said it is already so conditioned. <br /> <br /> Mr. McMillion asked if it were understood by developers there is to be no street parking. <br /> Mr. Swift said yes. <br /> <br /> David Gonsaives, 2215 Martin Avenue, said he agreed with staff's recommendation. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 4 3/18/97 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
