Mayor Tarver requested to move Item 6c, AP98-13 (UP-98-46), Ricardo Oliveira, to the <br />first item under public hearings. He requested to continue Item 6b, PUD-96-14, Merritt/Scholes <br />(DeSilva/Gates), to the November 3 or November 17 City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked the reason for removing the item from the agenda. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver indicated that he would like time to read all the documents for this item <br />in order to make an intelligent and informed decision. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala said that she had read all the information. She would like to be informed in <br />advance when another Councilmember was considering continuing an item. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Tarver, and seconded by Mr. Pico to continue Item 6b, <br />Merritt/Scholes (DeSilva/Gates), application for Planned Unit Development prezoning and <br />development plan approval for 91 single-family homes (including three existing homes) on <br />46.4 acres located at 4131 and 4141 Foothill Road to the November 17, 1998 City Council <br />meeting. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarvet. <br />NOES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, and Michelotti. <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver indicated that the item would be heard at the November 3 City Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, that the following actions <br />be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a. Approve the City Council Minutes for 10/6/98. <br /> This item was continued to the November 3 City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim October 24 through October 31, 1998 as World Population Awareness <br /> Week and call upon all citizens thereof to reflect upon the challenges of rapid <br /> population growth and to seek rational, humanitarian, community-based solutions. <br /> <br /> c.
