4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, that the following actions <br />be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> 4. Approve the City Council Minutes for August 18, 1998. <br /> <br /> a. Approve the monthly disbursements in the amount of $9,699,081.78, the <br /> investment report and COPS AB3229 Expenditures reports for July 1998. <br /> (SR98:234) <br /> <br /> b. Adopt Ordinance No. 1761, authorizing an amendment to the contract between the <br /> City of Pleasanton and the Board of Administration of the California Public <br /> Employees' Retirement system. (SR98:232) <br /> <br /> c. Adopt Resolution No. 98-123, designating the City of Livermore Fire Department <br /> employees to be employees of the City of Pleasanton. (SR98:242) <br /> <br /> d. Adopt Resolution No. 98-124, approving the preannexation agreement between <br /> Diana and Dominic Gaiero and the City of Pleasanton; authorize the connection <br /> of 585 Happy Valley Road to the City water system, provided all connection <br /> work is done to the satisfaction of the City Engineer and all costs are borne by <br /> the property owner; authorize the City Manager to execute the preannexation <br /> agreement on behalf of the City of Pleasanton and to file an application with <br /> LAFCo for the extension of City water services for 585 Happy Valley Road. <br /> (SR98:237) <br /> <br /> e. Approve the plans and specifications for resurfacing of various City streets, on <br /> Chestnut Way, Crestline Road, Foothill Road, and Inglewood Drive, Project No. <br /> 975003B; review the bids and award the construction contract for the subject <br /> project to Redgwick Construction Company of Hayward for a low bid of <br /> $217,831.10; and authorize the City Manager to enter into the above contract. <br /> (SR98:236) <br /> <br /> f.
