3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS

Councilmember Pico requested that item 6h, Principles of Agreement between the City
of Pleasanton and the Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) for joint use of the
Tassajara Reservoir, be continued to the June 2, 1998 meeting.

Mayor Tarver requested that Item 4m, PUD-97-08-1M, Kaufman and Broad South Bay,
Inc., be moved to be heard as Item 6h on the agenda.

4. CONSENT CALENDAR

Geoff Cooper, 7534 Flagstone Drive, expressed his concern item 4e would be viewed
as an endorsement of the Clean Water Revival project without a public hearing being held. He
did not want an approval of this until everyone has heard the new information from the National
Resource Council regarding the use of reverse osmosis treatment on sewage for the use of
drinking water. He said reverse osmosis is a great treatment for purifying clean salty sea
water. He hoped DSRSD would be required to provide an improved EIR in light of this new
information. The current DSRSD EIR is inadequate. He hoped that the City Council wanted
to hear the issues before approving something.

Mayor Tarver said it is the Council's position that if it participates in the Clean Water
Revival project, there will be open meeting for public input.

It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, that the following actions be
taken on the Consent Calendar:

a. Approve the City Council Minutes for May 5, 1998, as amended.

b. Proclaim May as "Older Americans Month" in the City of Pleasanton.

c. Commended Curtis D. Safford, Sr. for his many years of committed and
dedicated service to the residents of the Tri-Valley community and congratulations
on his elevation to the Office of Bishop at the Pleasant View Church of Christ.

d. Adopt Resolution No. 98-55, directing the filing of the annual report for the
Landscape Assessment District No. 1984-1 (Ponderosa); adopt Resolution No.
98-56, expressing Council's intention to order improvements for Landscape
Assessment District No. 1984-1, (Ponderosa); adopt Resolution No. 98-57,
directing the filing of the annual report for Lighting and Landscape Assessment
District No. 1993-1, (Windsor); adopt Resolution No. 98-58, expressing the
Council's intention to order improvements for Lighting and Landscape
Assessment District No. 1993-1, (Windsor); adopt Resolution No. 98-59,

Pleasanton City Council 3 05/19/98
Minutes
