Wolfe presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said last Thursday night the American Institute of Architects gave an award <br />to this project. There were 300 projects submitted for an award, which recognizes excellence <br />in architecture. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver asked if there were any speakers on this item. <br /> <br /> There were no speakers. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Pico, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 98-69, <br />renaming the Pleasanton Aquatic Center the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver thanked Dolores Bengtson for contributing so much to the City and a great <br /> debt of gratitude is owed to her, far beyond just renaming this facility in your honor. <br /> <br /> Dolores Bengtson expressed her deep gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her. It was <br /> an honor she never expected. This is something that she will treasure always.
