3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 4k, amendments to the Juvenile Curfew Law Ordinance, was referred to the Youth <br />Commission. <br /> Item 4o, resolution approving a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pleasanton <br />Police Officers Association, was removed from the agenda. <br /> Item 5, presentation regarding an award to the City of Pleasanton for "Financing Our <br />Future" was continued to the May 5 meeting at staff's request. <br /> Mayor Tarver requested that Item 6c, PUD-98-01, Equus Heights -Dong Yu Real Estate <br />Development, be continued to the May 5 meeting. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> In the minutes concerning the fence to be constructed adjacent to the parking area for the <br />Altamont Commuter Express, Ms. Michelotti questioned the amount of money that the City <br />would contribute towards the cyclone fence. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver believed staff understood that they were to contact Alameda County and <br />the Rail Commission to work out the details on the amount that needed to be spent. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said staff understood the Council direction. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, that the following actions <br />be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a. Approve the City Council Minutes for April 7, 1998. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim May 18-22, 1998 as "Bike to Work Week" in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> c. Approve the plans and specifications for resurfacing of various city streets, <br /> Project No. 965003C; review the bids and award the construction contract to <br /> Galedridge Construction, Inc. of Alviso for a low bid of $290,790.07; approve <br /> the contract with BSK & Associates to provide geotechnical engineering services <br /> at a cost not to exceed $5,000.00 for the subject project; authorize the City <br /> Manager to enter into the above contracts; and authorize the Director of Public <br /> Works to approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency amount <br /> not to exceed $58,200 (20% of construction bid) for the necessary related subject <br /> project work. Accept the 1996-97 audit; approve Amendment No. 1 with Macias, Gini and <br /> Company to extend its audit contract for two more years and to compensate it for <br /> additional services required to implement new auditing standards; and authorize <br /> the City Manager to sign the Amendment.
