The "Pot of Gold" chorus thanked Dolores Bengtson for her help in obtaining grants for <br />the musical programs in the Pleasanton Unified School District. The group presented a song to <br />Dolores Bengtson. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />Item 6a <br />Ordinance No. 1719 of the City of P!easant0n providing for the regulation of firearm sales <br />through a permitting process and prohibiting the sale of "Saturday Night Specials" by <br />amending Title 6 and Title 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br /> <br />This item was moved to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />Item 6b <br />Ordinance No. 1738. amending Chapters 18.08 (definitions). 182.8 (agricUltural district), <br />18.32 (one-family residential districts), 18.36 (multi-family residential districts), 18.36 <br />(multi-family residential districts). 18.40 (office district). 18.44 (CommerCial districts), 18.48 <br />(industrial districts). 18.52 (rock. sand and gravel extraction district), 18.56 (public and <br />institutional district) and 18.104 (home occupations) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to <br />add regulations for firearm sales, to change the regulations for gunsmiths, and to change <br />the minimum office space regulations for office uses in the industrial park district. <br /> <br />This item was moved to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />PropoSed Zone 7 Water Service Expansion Policy. (SR98:30) <br /> <br /> Randall Lum presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Dennis asked for public input. <br /> <br /> Robert Cordtz, 262 West Angela, agreed with the staff report. His concern was with the <br />way the Zone 7 Board has performed and approved the Dougherty Valley project. He said the <br />Zone 7 Board uses the County Counsel which he believed was a definite conflict of interest. <br />He said the resolutions and recitals hold everyone harmless except for the citizens of Pleasanton. <br />He felt Council should move forward as recommended by staff. <br /> <br /> There was no further public testimony. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala felt comfortable that Councilmember Pico and Mayor Tarver, as the liaisons, <br /> would make a good decision. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 3/03/98 <br />Minutes 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
