3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta said Item 6j, initiate Park and Recreation Commission discussion of <br />renaming/rededicating the Aquatic Center, was moved to be discussed in conjunction with 6g, <br />selection of names for two North Pleasanton neighborhood parks. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis mentioned she had a number of speaker cards for Item 6a, Ordinance No. <br />1719, prohibiting sale of "Saturday Night Specials" and Item 6b, Ordinance No. 1738, Amend <br />PMC regarding zoning in which sale of firearms is permitted. She said if the items were heard <br />at the beginning of the agenda she would limit the speakers to two minutes each. If the items <br />were heard at the end of the agenda she would allow the speakers five minutes. She asked for <br />a show of hands to see if the audience preferred moving the items to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br /> A show of hands indicated agreement with moving the items to the end of the agenda. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions <br />be taken on the Consent Calendar: <br /> <br /> a. Approve the City Council Minutes for February 9 and February 17, 1998 as <br /> amended. <br /> <br /> b. Proclaim March 15-21, 1998 as "DeMolay Week" in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> c. Commended Jim and Courtney Cansler and Susan Bammer for their efforts in <br /> saving the life of Robert Manicki. <br /> <br /> d. Approve monthly disbursements in the amount of $14,396.739.59; approve the <br /> investment report; and approve COPS AB3229 expenditures report for January <br /> 1998. (SR98:44) <br /> <br /> e. Approve the consulting contract with David Evans and Associates, Inc., in an <br /> amount not to exceed $45,000 for preparation of a Planned Unit Development <br /> application; approve the consulting contract with Sycamore Environmental <br /> Consultants, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $61,500 for preparing and <br /> processing State and Federal permits; approve the consulting contract with <br /> Lowney Associates in an amount not to exceed $76,300 for geotechnical and <br /> environmental services; authorize the City Manager to execute the three <br /> consultant contracts; and authorize the transfer and appropriation of an additional <br /> $182,800 from the General Fund Capital Project Reserve to the Golf Course <br /> Enterprise Fund for these consultant contracts.
