MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 3, 1998 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Becky Dennis called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />7:05 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico mentioned Dolores Bengtson, of Parks & Community Services, was retiring; <br />he asked her to lead the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Ms. Bengtson thanked the City of Pleasanton for helping her do her job. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti described her experience with Dolores Bengtson over the last twenty-three <br />years. She helped bring the regional soccer tournament to Pleasanton and helped the community <br />get outstanding parks. She wished Dolores well in her retirement. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, Jr. and Vice <br />Mayor Becky Dennis. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; Michael <br />H. Roush, City Attorney; Renee Perko, Special Counsel; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; Andy Jorgensen, <br />Civic Arts Senior Supervisor; Bill van Gelder, Traffic Engineering; James W. Wolfe, Director <br />Of Parks & Community Services; Sgt.
