MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 20, 1998 <br /> <br />6:00 p.m. Closed Session <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding potential litigation against Zone 7 concerning its <br />certification of the Supplemental EIR for the transfer of water entitlements from the Berrenda <br />Mesa Water District for use in the Dougherty Valley. <br /> <br /> Conferred with legal counsel regarding potential litigation against the City of Tracy <br />concerning its approval of the Tracy Hills Specific Plan and related EIR. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Mayor Ben Tarver called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> Ms. Michelotti led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti welcomed SuperGen, a new pharmaceutical company in the City of <br />Pleasanton. She attended the grand opening and toured the building and laboratory. The <br />company makes drugs to fight cancer. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy L. Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. Pico, <br />Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were: Deborah Acosta, City Manager; <br />Michael H. Roush, City Attorney; Brian W. Swift, Director of Planning and Community <br />Development; Randall A.
