Mr. Swift said the rezoning motion, which is the introduction of an ordinance, just <br /> applies to changing the zoning of the lot where the parking lot is. The additional condition <br /> should be in conjunction with item 4, the approval of the parking lot and building expansion. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers- Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, and seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to adopt Resolution <br /> No. 98-118, approving the application of Mt. Diablo National Bank for Conditional Use <br /> Permit and Design Review Approval, as f'ded under Case UP-98-21/Z-98-149 subject to <br /> conditions listed in Exhibit B, with the added condition that staff will work with the <br /> applicant on a reimbursement agreement to put in the traffic light at Vervais and Main <br /> Street. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver supported the motion but wanted to make it clear that he preferred to have <br />the restrictive parking lot available to everyone. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti and Mayor Tarver. <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Pico <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, and seconded by Ms. Ayala, to initiate a modification <br />to the Municipal Code Section 18.88.030 (B and C) so that the parking requirement for <br />banks is consistent with general office and retail parking requirements (one space for every <br />300 square feet of gross floor area). <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver could not support the motion because he was not convinced that banks can <br />be the same as commercial general office.
