There being no speakers, the public hearing was closed. It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. 95106, to add the cost of abatement of a nuisance at 444 Del Sol Avenue to the tax roll. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Mayor Tarver asked how long it takes to abate nuisances after complaints have been received. Ms. Acosta said it depends on the circumstances of each situation. Them have been difficulties periodically in working with Zone 7 on the arroyos. 7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL Ms. Dennis wanted to make sum the proposed community survey included reference to recycling. Mr. Pico indicated another alternate needed to be appointed to LAVWMA because both he and the Mayor would not be able to attend the August meeting of LAVWMA. Mayor Tarver said the City of Livemore had a process to appoint other Councilmembers when a situation like this arises. Mr. Pico referred to a policy that during the elections season, non-candidates participate in things like the Mayor's Report and other calloin shows. Mr. Roush read the adopted policy "During September and October in an election year, the City Council shall not schedule a call-in talk show and (2) if the incumbent mayor is a candidate for reelection, the mayor shall not participate in the Mayor's Report during September and October of an election year. In the Mayor's stead, City Councilmembers who are not candidates for reelection shall participate in the Mayor's Report on a rotational basis." 8.
