PROJECT STATUS <br /> CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY - EXTERIOR CONTRACT <br /> <br /> The Contractor completed formwork for the tiltup panels in <br /> late November and installed reinforcing steel in early <br /> December. Concrete has been placed in the panels and after <br /> curing the panels will be ready for erection in late <br /> December. <br /> <br /> The next activities on the critical path after tiltup <br /> erection are structural steel erection and wood truss <br /> erection. <br /> <br /> Other work activities the Contractor has completed in the <br /> last three months include asphalt paving, water line <br /> tie-ins, and the site drainage system. CH2M HILL personnel <br /> and City of Pleasanton inspectors closely coordinated all <br /> activities that affected existing City utilities. <br /> <br />Also, the Contractor is using the future library parking <br />lot for his construction vehicles. No construction <br />vehicles are being parked in active City lots. <br /> <br />See Exhibit A for a construction site plan and Exhibit B <br />for a current photograph of the project's progress. <br /> <br />INTERIOR FURNISHINGS CONTRACT <br /> <br />Recommendations for award of the interior furnishings <br />contract will be presented to the City of Pleasanton in <br />late Ja~uary. Presently, the Architect is modifying the <br />current scope of the interior furnishings contract to match <br />the scope agreed to by the City of Pleasanton in the <br />November 25, 1986 budget review. Also, CH2M HILL is <br />working with the Contractor to develop suggested <br />alternatives which will further reduce the cost of the <br />project without affecting the quality of the finishes. <br /> <br />All recommended modifications to the interior furnishings <br />contract will be submitted to the City of Pleasanton for <br />review and approval. <br /> <br />PROJECT COSTS <br /> <br />Program Budget <br /> <br />The project budget has been revised from $6.0 million to <br />$5.2 million to take advantage of savings developed from <br />bid results on the exterior construction package. The <br />major components of the budget are shown graphically in <br />Exhibit C and a detailed breakdown of each major budget <br />component is shown in Exhibit D. <br /> <br /> <br />
