PROJECT STATUS CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY - EXTERIOR CONTRACT The Contractor completed formwork for the tiltup panels in late November and installed reinforcing steel in early December. Concrete has been placed in the panels and after curing the panels will be ready for erection in late December. The next activities on the critical path after tiltup erection are structural steel erection and wood truss erection. Other work activities the Contractor has completed in the last three months include asphalt paving, water line tie-ins, and the site drainage system. CH2M HILL personnel and City of Pleasanton inspectors closely coordinated all activities that affected existing City utilities. Also, the Contractor is using the future library parking lot for his construction vehicles. No construction vehicles are being parked in active City lots. See Exhibit A for a construction site plan and Exhibit B for a current photograph of the project's progress. INTERIOR FURNISHINGS CONTRACT Recommendations for award of the interior furnishings contract will be presented to the City of Pleasanton in late Ja~uary. Presently, the Architect is modifying the current scope of the interior furnishings contract to match the scope agreed to by the City of Pleasanton in the November 25, 1986 budget review. Also, CH2M HILL is working with the Contractor to develop suggested alternatives which will further reduce the cost of the project without affecting the quality of the finishes. All recommended modifications to the interior furnishings contract will be submitted to the City of Pleasanton for review and approval. PROJECT COSTS Program Budget The project budget has been revised from $6.0 million to $5.2 million to take advantage of savings developed from bid results on the exterior construction package. The major components of the budget are shown graphically in Exhibit C and a detailed breakdown of each major budget component is shown in Exhibit D.
