EXHIBIT B <br /> COMPENSATION <br /> <br /> Compensation for services provided under Article I as <br />described in Exhibit A, Scope of Services, shall be in accordance <br />with the methods described in this Exhibit and the specific amounts <br />shown on the attached schedule, or as may be later mutually agreed <br />to. <br /> <br /> Unless otherwise mutually agreed, compensation for Planning <br />Engineering Services and Special Engineering Services shall be on <br />an Hourly Rate basis (Time and Expense) to an identified cost <br />ceiling which shall not be exceeded without prior written approval. <br /> <br />I. HOURLY RATE <br /> <br /> Compensation for each service or task authorized on an <br />hourly rate basis shall be the sum of hourly labor costs and other <br />direct costs, as herein defined. Reimbursement for services <br />performed on an hourly rate basis shall not exceed the price <br />ceiling listed in the compensation schedule without formally <br />amending this Agreement. <br /> <br /> 1. Hourly Labor Cost. Hourly labor cost shall be the <br /> total number of hours worked on the job by each <br /> employee times the appropriate billing rate shown on <br /> the attached Hourly Billing Rate Schedule. The billing <br /> rate for each category of employee shall be set forth <br /> in a rate schedule agreed upon at the time of <br /> authorization of hourly rate work. Billing rates shall <br /> be revised annually, or more often as mutually agreed, <br /> to reflect relevant changes in engineering salary <br /> costs. Revisions of the tabulation of hourly billing <br /> rates shall be approved by the Owner. <br /> <br /> 2. Other Direct Costs. Direct nonsalary cost shall be <br /> actual costs and shall include the following: <br /> <br /> a. Services directly applicable to the work such as <br /> special legal and accounting expenses; computer <br /> rental and programming costs; special consultants; <br /> borings; laboratory charges; commercial printing <br /> and binding; and similar costs that are not <br /> applicable to general overhead. <br /> <br /> Exhibit B <br /> City of Pleasanton <br /> January 21, 1988 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
