address the drainage problems on the Upper Pleasanton School soccer field if PGSA was going to be assigned that facility. - The residents of the area expressed their satisfaction with the present situation; they noted Saturdays have been very pleasant since the gates have been locked and Saturday use limited to the two fields farthest from Greenwood. Discussions regarding opening the gates resulted in both representatives of the homeowners and of PGSA agreeing that opening all the gates would invite a return to the previous problem. They also agreed it would be good to try and open only the south gate to allow the pathway connecting Greenwood Road and Northway Road to be used at all times. The result of the discussion suggested both the residents and PGSA could support the following plan: o Keep the gates locked on Saturday with the exception of the south gate, to be unlocked after the first two Saturdays on a trial basis. o Limit play at Harvest Park School to two fields, eliminating formal play from the field closest to Greenwood. o Provide PGSA one good field to replace the field they lost; Pleasanton School to be considered acceptable if the drainage problem is addressed by the City. Other possible field combinations to be discussed with City staff. o PGSA may begin play as early as 8:30 a.m. and start their last game as late as 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays and may maximize use of the two available fields. o PGSA will continue using Harvest Park fields for the May tryouts and for the regular Monday through Thursday evening practices without restrictions. (The representatives of the neighborhood agreed these uses were not opposed.) o The City will assist in notifying the PGSA membership of the need to use the available campus parking by preparing and mailing a flyer, which will include a site map identifying parking areas, to PGSA membership prior to the beginning of the 1988 season. - 5 -
