/ Cit'y of Pleasanton ) <br />STAFF 4D' <br /> REPORT <br /> <br /> January 19, 1988 <br /> Department of Parks & Community Services <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> <br /> Approval of Action Plan to Relieve Neighborhood Problems <br /> Associated With Organized Sport Use of Harvest Park <br /> Middle School Fields <br /> <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMI88ION RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> December 10, 1987, the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> unanimously adopted a motion recommending the following <br /> Action Plan: <br /> <br /> o Keep the gates locked on Saturday with the <br /> exception of the south gate, to be unlocked after <br /> the first two Saturdays on a trial basis. <br /> <br /> o Limit play at Harvest Park School to two fields, <br /> eliminating formal play from the field closest to <br /> Greenwood. <br /> <br /> o Provide PGSA one good field to replace the field <br /> they lost; Pleasanton School to be considered <br /> acceptable if the drainage problem is addressed by <br /> the City. Other possible field combinations to be <br /> discussed with City staff. <br /> <br /> o PGSA may begin play as early as 8:30 a.m. and start <br /> their last game as late as 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays <br /> and may maximize use of the two available fields. <br /> <br /> o PGSA will continue using Harvest Park fields for <br /> the May tryouts and for the regular Monday through <br /> Thursday evening practices without restrictions. <br /> (The representatives of the neighborhood agreed <br /> these uses were not opposed.) <br /> <br /> SR 88:35 - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
