2. The streets, roads, and rights-of-way in the <br /> District are extensively used by both the general <br /> public and by the Fire Department located on <br /> Railroad Avenue and carry a substantial volume of <br /> pedestrian and vehicular traffic. <br /> <br /> 3. The City has agreed to pay over fifty percent (50%) <br /> of all costs of conversion. <br /> <br />Section 3: That the following exceptions in said Underground <br /> Utility District No. 87-26 be and.are hereby authorized, <br /> pursuant to Section 13.12.060 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> 1. Poles or electroliers used exclusively for street <br /> lighting. <br /> <br /> 2. Overhead wires (exclusive of supporting structures) <br /> crossing any portion of the District within which <br /> overhead wires have been prohibited, or connecting <br /> to buildings on the perimeter of the District, when <br /> such wires originate in an area from which poles, <br /> overhead wires and associated overhead structures <br /> are not prohibited. <br /> <br /> 3. Overhead wire~ attached to the exterior surface of <br /> a building by means of a bracket or other fixture <br /> and extending from one location on the building to <br /> another location on the same building or to an <br /> adjacent building without crossing any public <br /> street. <br /> <br /> 4. Equipment appurtenant to underground facilities, <br /> such as surface mounted transformers, pedestal <br /> mounted terminal boxes and meter cabinets, and <br /> concealed ducts. <br /> <br /> 5. Temporary poles, overhead wires and associated <br /> overhead structures shall be removed and <br /> underground i~stallations made in said Underground <br /> Utility District No. 87-26 within the following <br /> times: <br /> <br /> a. Affected property owners must be ready to <br /> receive underground service not later than <br /> May, 1989. <br /> <br /> b. Removal of poles, overhead wires, and other <br /> associated structures no later than June, <br /> 1989. <br /> <br />Section 4: That the City Clerk within ten (10) days after <br /> adoption of this resolution, shall mail a copy thereof <br /> and a copy of Chapter 13.12 (Underground Utility <br /> Districts) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to affected <br /> <br /> <br />
