2. The streets, roads, and rights-of-way in the District are extensively used by both the general public and by the Fire Department located on Railroad Avenue and carry a substantial volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. 3. The City has agreed to pay over fifty percent (50%) of all costs of conversion. Section 3: That the following exceptions in said Underground Utility District No. 87-26 be and.are hereby authorized, pursuant to Section 13.12.060 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code. 1. Poles or electroliers used exclusively for street lighting. 2. Overhead wires (exclusive of supporting structures) crossing any portion of the District within which overhead wires have been prohibited, or connecting to buildings on the perimeter of the District, when such wires originate in an area from which poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures are not prohibited. 3. Overhead wire~ attached to the exterior surface of a building by means of a bracket or other fixture and extending from one location on the building to another location on the same building or to an adjacent building without crossing any public street. 4. Equipment appurtenant to underground facilities, such as surface mounted transformers, pedestal mounted terminal boxes and meter cabinets, and concealed ducts. 5. Temporary poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures shall be removed and underground i~stallations made in said Underground Utility District No. 87-26 within the following times: a. Affected property owners must be ready to receive underground service not later than May, 1989. b. Removal of poles, overhead wires, and other associated structures no later than June, 1989. Section 4: That the City Clerk within ten (10) days after adoption of this resolution, shall mail a copy thereof and a copy of Chapter 13.12 (Underground Utility Districts) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to affected
