The marketing activities will range from logo <br />design, information materials, public contact, establishing <br />good communications with developers, brokers and the City of <br />Pleasanton, as well as, many other related marketing <br />responsibilities. <br /> <br />The specifics of the marketing activities will be <br />developed by the economic development person with input and <br />guidance from the committee assisting in the formation. Also <br />available will be the research completed by the Advantage <br />Pleasanton Market Materials Sub-Committee that contains <br />significant marketing information and ideas. <br /> <br />A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITIONS DAY TO DAY DUTIES <br />COULD BE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES <br />Plans, organizes and coordinates economic development and <br />redevelopment programs; analyzes community needs for economic <br />development and develops programs to meet those needs in <br />accordance with established Chamber policy and available <br />resources; serves as the staff manager for committees and <br />task forces in the Chamber's Economic Development Council, <br />attending related meetings and assisting committee and task <br />force members in meeting the goals and objectives of the <br />current program of action; acts as liaison to various City <br />departments to coordinate efforts to achieve economic <br />development goals; serves as technical and professional <br />advisor and provides staff support in the area of economic <br />development and redevelopment. <br /> <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />We have estimated that the qualified person would have the <br />following knowledge and abilities: <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br />General principles and practices of California Planning and <br />Redevelopment law; <br />Regulations affecting economic development, redevelopment and <br />related matters. <br />Principles of economics, statistics and sociology; <br />Grant-in-aid programs as they relate to redevelopment and <br />economic development. <br />Knowledge of basic marketing principles and ability to create <br /> <br /> <br />
