13.2 Jury Leave <br /> <br /> Every employee of the City who is called or required to serve as <br /> a juror shall be entitled to leave from his/her duties with the <br /> City during the period of such service or while necessarily being <br /> present in court as a result of such call. The employee shall be <br /> paid the difference between his/her full salary and any payment <br /> received by him/her, except travel pay, for such duty. <br /> <br />13.3 Leaves Resulting from Subpoena <br /> <br /> Leave of absence with pay shall be granted to a person while <br /> going to and from court and answering a subpoena as a witness. <br /> The employee shall be paid the difference between his/her full <br /> salary and any payment received by him/her, except travel pay, <br /> for such duty. <br /> <br />13.4 Military Leave <br /> <br /> Military leave shall be granted in accordance with the provisions <br /> of the law. All employees entitled to military leave shall give <br /> the Appointing Authority an opportunity within the limits of <br /> military regulations to determine when such leave shall be <br /> taken. <br /> <br />13.5 Maternity Leave <br /> <br /> The Appointing Authority may grant, upon written request, <br /> maternity leave without pay for up to six (6) months upon <br /> determination that such leave will not adversely effect the needs <br /> of the City. <br /> <br />Section 14. Health and Welfare <br /> <br />14.1 Hospital and Medical Care - Active Employees <br /> <br /> Effective March 1, 1988, the City shall contribute an amount <br /> necessary to provide hospital and medical care benefits under <br /> either the present Blue Cross Plan, Kaiser S-1 Plan or, <br /> Foundation Health Plan I for the individual employee and a <br /> portion of the amount necessary to provide coverage for eligible <br /> dependents; provided, however, in no event shall the City be <br /> obligated to contribute a monthly amount in excess of the monthly <br /> premium for the Kaiser S-1 Health Plan full family coverage. <br /> <br /> For the purpose of providing aforesaid health care coverage to <br /> eligible regular part-time employees who average between twenty <br /> (20) and twenty-nine (29) hours per week, the City shall <br /> <br /> - 24 - <br /> <br /> <br />
