19.10 Termination Educational Incentive Plan <br /> <br /> Effective July 1, 1988 no additional employees will be <br /> permitted to enroll in the educational incentive pay <br /> plan. Effective August 31, 1990 Section 19.1 through <br /> 19.7 and Section 19.9 shall be deleted except employees <br /> receiving educational incentive pay on August 31, 1990 <br /> shall continue to do so at the level the employee has <br /> achieved by August 31, 1990. Additionally, employees <br /> enrolled in the incentive plan prior to July 1, 1988 and <br /> who otherwide become eligible for incentive pay prior to <br /> August 31, 1990 except for completing the required years <br /> of service set forth in 19(c), shall upon completing said <br /> years of service receive the appropriate <br /> incentive pay. <br /> <br /> Effective August 31, 1990 Section 19.8 shall be modified <br /> to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> Employees who successfully complete courses with a grade <br /> of "C" or better from colleges or universities accredited <br /> by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges shall <br /> be reimbursed for tuition expenses at the rate for <br /> internal degrees levied by Hayward State University at <br /> the time of the employee's enrollment in the courses for <br /> which tuition reimbursement is requested. However, the <br /> maximum amount of tuition reimbursement shall not exceed <br /> $837.00 per fiscal year per employee. <br /> <br /> Employees enrolled in colleges or universities on a <br /> semester basis shall be reimbursed at one and one half <br /> (1-1/2) times the equivalent quarter hour rate at <br /> Hayward State University to a maximum tuition <br /> reimbursement of $837.00 per fiscal year. <br /> <br /> Employees submitting requests for tuition reimbursement <br /> shall provide the Personnel Officer an official receipt <br /> from the college or university verifying the payment of <br /> tuition and an official transcript of the grades <br /> received for which tuition is requested. <br /> <br />Section 20. Probationary Period <br /> <br />20.1 Lenqth of Probationary Period <br /> <br /> All original appointments shall be tentative and subject <br /> to a probationary period of twelve (12) months actual <br /> service. All promotional appointments shall be tentative <br /> and subject to a probationary period of six (6) months <br /> actual service. <br /> <br /> - 28 - <br /> <br /> <br />
