19.4 Enrollment Procedures <br /> <br /> Employees wishing to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br /> Plan must do the following: <br /> <br /> A. Not later than forty-five (45) days prior to <br /> enrolling in a junior college, college or <br /> university, make written application to the <br /> Educational Standards Committee in order that the <br /> Committee may determine the employee's eligibility <br /> to enroll in the Educational Incentive Plan. The <br /> Educational Standards Committee shall inform the <br /> employee in writing of their determination no later <br /> than thirty (30) days following their receipt of the <br /> employee's request to enroll in the Educational <br /> Incentive Pay Plan. <br /> <br /> B. The written application submitted to the Educational <br /> Standards Committee must include the following: <br /> <br /> 1. A description of the educational level to be <br /> pursued. <br /> <br /> 2. Employees pursuing a specific number of college <br /> credits as set forth in this plan in lieu of a <br /> BS or a BA degree must indicate a major field <br /> of study and submit a list of courses to be <br /> taken in that major field. <br /> <br /> C. Prior to enrollment in a junior college, college, or <br /> university, the employee must have received written <br /> approval from the Educational Standards Committee as <br /> to his/her eligibility to enroll in the Educational <br /> Incentive Plan. <br /> <br /> NOTE: No employee shall receive educational <br /> incentive pay for any educational level <br /> attained unless he/she has received <br /> advanced written approval from the <br /> Educational Standards Committee as set <br /> forth in this section. <br /> <br /> D. The junior college, college, or university from <br /> which an educational level is to be received must be <br /> accredited by the Western Association of Schools <br /> and Colleges. <br /> <br /> - 24 - <br /> <br /> <br />
