Section 9 Holidays <br />9.1 Holiday Pay <br /> <br /> Fifty-six (56) hour work week employees shall be <br /> compensated for working holidays each year through <br /> receipt of holiday in lieu pay. This compensation shall <br /> be seven and one-half percent (7-1/2%) of the employee's <br /> annual salary, exclusive of any overtime. Such <br /> compensation shall be paid in two equal installments. <br /> Such payments are to be made on the first payday after <br /> December 1 and the first payday after June 1. <br /> <br /> Employees shall receive prorated holiday pay upon <br /> termination. <br /> <br />Section 10. Acting Officer Pay <br /> <br /> In the absence of the assigned officer, a Firefighter <br /> will act as a Lieutenant only on squad and patrol type <br /> vehicles. <br /> <br /> An employee assigned as an acting officer shall upon <br /> such assignment receive (in addition to his/her regular <br /> rate of pay ), an amount equal to five percent (5%) of <br /> his/her regular hourly rate for each hour so assigned. <br /> <br /> Use of acting officers will not be employed as a <br /> permanent method of filling vacant officer positions. <br /> <br />Section 11. Acting Enqineer's Pay <br /> <br /> An employee assigned as an acting engineer shall upon <br /> such assignment receive, (in addition to his/her regular <br /> rate of pay) an amount equal to five percent (5%) of <br /> his/her regular hourly rate for each hour so assigned. <br /> <br /> - 13 - <br /> <br /> <br />
