6.3 Shift and Station Assiqnment~ <br /> <br /> Shift and station openings and assignments shall be <br /> filled on the basis of seniority. Said openings and <br /> assignments shall be posted on all station bulletin <br /> boards and be open for bid to the entire department. <br /> <br /> Normal station assignments shall be bid once per year on <br /> January 1st based upon shift seniority; officers will bid <br /> first followed by firefighters. Firefighters, fire <br /> engineers and fire lieutenants will be allowed to remain <br /> at one station for a maximum of three (3) consecutive <br /> years. Fire captains shall bid three (3) stations during <br /> a seven (7) year time span. <br /> <br /> Mutuals are agreements between employees of the same rank <br /> to change shift and station assignments. Mutuals shall <br /> be considered trades between the employees involved. <br /> There shall be no limit on the number of Mutuals except <br /> that if an employee through Mutuals remains at the same <br /> station for more than three (3) years, the Fire Chief may <br /> temporarily transfer the employee for the purpose of <br /> training to another station for a period not to exceed <br /> ten (10) shifts. <br /> <br />Section 7. Overtime <br /> <br />7.1 Payment <br /> <br /> Employees who are required to work after completion of <br /> their regular shift or are required to work to fill a <br /> shift outside his/her regular duty shift shall be <br /> entitled to overtime compensation for all hours so <br /> worked; provided, however, that the overtime rate shall <br /> be computed at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the <br /> employee's regular rate of pay in thirty (30) minute <br /> increments as follows: <br /> <br /> One (1) minute through thirty (30) minutes, one-half <br /> (1/2) hour's pay at the overtime rate; thirty-one (31) <br /> minutes through sixty (60) minutes, one (1) hour's pay at <br /> the overtime rate, sixty-one (61) minutes through ninety <br /> (90) minutes, one and one-half (1-1/2) hour's pay at the <br /> overtime rate, ninety-one (91) minutes through one- <br /> hundred and twenty (120) minutes, two (2) hour's pay at <br /> the overtime rate, etc. <br /> <br /> - 11 - <br /> <br /> <br />
