AMENDMENT NO. 2 CITY OF PLEASANTON AND CH2M HILL AUTHORIZATION OF SERVICES FOR FINAL DESIGN OF THE HACIENDA DRIVE INTERCHANGE ON 1-580 FOR THE NPID FREEWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT 1. Purpose: The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to authorize and direct the CONSULTANT to proceed with the work specified in Item 2 of this AMENDMENT, in accordance with the pro- visions of Article 1 of the AGREEMENT between the parties hereto dated December 1, 1987. 2. Scope of Services: The work authorized by this AMENDMENT is described in the SCOPE OF SERVICES attached hereto as EXHIBIT 2-A. 3. Time of Performance: Requirements for Time of Performance are included in Task 2-1.2, Monitoring, in the SCOPE OF SERVICES. 4. Compensation and Payment: The work included and authorized by this AMENDMENT shall be compensated based on a fixed price of $900,000.00. Work not included in the fixed price portion noted above but authorized separately includes: a. Miscellaneous Reproduction shall be compensated on a labor and expense basis not to exceed $3,500.00. b. Task 2-1.6: Utility Coordination shall be com- pensated on a labor and expense basis not to exceed $50,000.00. c. Task 2-6: Miscellaneous Work shall be compensated on a labor and expense basis not to exceed $50,000.00 total for all task orders issued. The amounts included in a, b, and c above are in addi- tion to the stated fixed price and it is understood that the CONSULTANT will not expend any effort and costs of any description beyond the above-specified amounts until the limits are increased by mutual written agreements; separate accounting will be established to monitor the progress and costs of this work. - 1 -
