Write, edit, and compile special provisions to supple- <br /> ment the bidding requirements and technical specifica- <br /> tions. <br /> <br />Task 5--Encroachment Permit <br /> <br />Prepare a Caltrans Encroachment Permit Application to obtain <br />approval to construct the items included in the bidding doc- <br />ument prepared in Task 4-5. Submit the permit application <br />along with a complete contract document to Caltrans and the <br />CITY for review, comment, and approval. Meet with the CITY <br />and Caltrans to clarify the intent of construction and gen- <br />eral coordination. Make revisions to the contract documents <br />and permit application needed to obtain approval and granting <br />of the permit. <br /> <br />Task 6--Ramp Metering Design Directive <br /> <br />Make necessary revisions and/or additions to the design, <br />plans, and specifications to incorporate the requirements of <br />the new Ramp Metering Design Directive issued by Caltrans. <br /> <br />Review new Caltrans guidelines for metered ramps and inves- <br />tigate incorporation of design elements into existing geome- <br />try of all on-ramps. Revise on-ramps to include necessary <br />metering features including ramp widening for enforcement <br />area, detector loops on ramps and mainline, controller foun- <br />dation, and connecting conduit and conductors. Prepare plans <br />and details of the components and coordinate with the neces- <br />sary specifications and special provisions. Revise completed <br />surface drainage components and edge drains to fit the new <br />ramp metering elements. Meet with Caltrans staff for review <br />and coordination of the design. <br /> <br />Task 7--Illumination <br /> <br /> Task 7-1: Stoneridge Drive--Investigate and analyze <br /> existing lighting on Stoneridge Drive combined with <br /> Caltrans standard safety lighting located at crossroad <br /> ramp terminal intersections. Prepare alternative anal- <br /> yses and cost estimates for review by the CITY, Caltrans <br /> and PG&E. Review analysis and modify lighting on <br /> Stoneridge Drive from Johnson Drive to Stoneridge Mall <br /> Road to produce a level of lighting equal to IES stan- <br /> dards or other criteria as directed by CITY staff. <br /> <br /> Prepare plans and special provisions for installation <br /> of the additional electroliers, conduit, conductors, <br /> and control elements. Meet with CITY, Caltrans, and <br /> PG&E representatives for review and coordination of the <br /> lighting. <br /> <br /> <br />
