Task 4-2: Drainage--Delete the pipe culverts at SL-2 Sta 38+57 and SL-3 Sta 38+90 from the completed design plans; prepare separate design plans for these pipe installations and incorporate them with the grading plans prepared for Task 4-1. Design temporary channels for operation of the drainage facilities and include with the construction plans. Prepare necessary special provisions; estimate the quantities and cost of construction. Task 4-3: Median Pier--Delete the median pier from the completed design of the Stoneridge Drive Overcrossing widening plans. Analyze feasibility of constructing the pier without removing a portion of the existing bridge. Redesign and adjust location of the piling, pile cap, and pier to fit the changed conditions to accommodate advanced construction of the median pier without demolition of any of the existing structure. Prepare separate plans to show the new pier construction. Prepare separate plan to show the location of a standard sign bridge foundation in the median of 1-680 and in- clude with the bridge median pier plans. Prepare special provisions; estimate the quantities and cost of construction. Submit the completed plans, special provisions, and estimates to Caltrans, Office of Structural Design, for review, comment, and approval; make necessary revisions resulting from the review and resubmit for final ap- proval. Submit plans to the CITY for concurrent review. Task 4-4: Contract Legal Sections--Write, edit, and assemble the legal sections of a contract document for use by the CITY to implement any general public works construction. The sections shall be consistent with the CITY's contracting procedures and shall include Contract Requirements and General Provisions. Submit the completed document to the CITY for review, comment, and approval by the City Attorney. Address the resulting comments and make the necessary changes in the document. Task 4-5: Bidding Document--Assemble a final and com- plete contract document for the CITY's use in bidding or negotiating the cost of construction for those items in Task 4. Revise the general legal sections prepared in Task 4-4 to accommodate the proposed construction.
