time off which accrues in excess of forty (40) hours <br /> must be liquidated by monetary payment. All monetary <br /> payments for overtime must be paid not later than the <br /> next biweekly payroll following the pay period in which <br /> the overtime was worked. Utilization of compensatory <br /> time off shall be by mutual agreement between the <br /> department head and the employee. Upon termination, <br /> the employee shall be paid for his/her unused <br /> compensatory time. <br /> <br /> Once a year, confidential employees may be paid for all <br /> accrued compensatory time. Said payments shall be made <br /> on the first pay day in December. Written requests for <br /> payment must be made by the employee fifteen (15) days <br /> in advance of the first pay day in December. <br /> <br /> 4.2 Performance Bonus. Management employees may be eligi- <br /> ble for a performance bonus up to a maximum amount not <br /> to exceed five percent (5%) of their base annual sala- <br /> ry. Said bonus shall be paid in one lump sum. <br /> <br /> 4.3 Holiday Pay. Middle Management (except Fire Battalion <br /> Chiefs) and Confidential employees required by their <br /> department director to work on a holiday shall be <br /> eligible for overtime compensation equal to twice that <br /> compensation established for regular time. <br /> <br /> Fire Battalion Chiefs, in lieu of observing holidays, <br /> shall receive an amount equal to seven and one-half <br /> percent (7-1/2%) of their annual salary exclusive of <br /> any overtime. Upon termination, battalion chiefs shall <br /> receive pro-rated holiday pay. <br /> <br />Section 5. Health and Welfare <br /> <br /> 5.1 Medical Insurance - Active Employees. <br /> <br /> Management and confidential employees and their eligi- <br /> ble dependents shall be offered enrollment in any one <br /> of the following three health plans: Blue Cross, <br /> Kaiser S-l, or Foundation Health Plan. The total <br /> monthly premium of the health plan selected shall be <br /> paid by the city. <br /> <br /> 5.2 Medical Insurance - Retirees. <br /> <br /> Effective October 1, 1988, for management and <br /> confidential employees who retire from service after <br /> October 1, 1988, the City shall pay for each year of <br /> service four percent (4%) of the monthly premium for <br /> employee and one dependent of the City's current Kaiser <br /> S-1 Health Plan coverage.
