Box 520 <br /> Pleasanton, California 94566-0802 <br /> <br /> Attention: Mr. Joseph Elliott <br /> Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> <br /> Subject: Scope of Services and Fee Agreement <br /> Soil Engineering Services During Construction <br /> Cross-Town Sanitary Sewer Interceptor <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> <br /> We are pleased to present this scope of services and fee agreement <br /> for soil engineering services during construction of the proposed <br /> Cross-Town Sanitary Sewer Interceptor project. We understand that <br /> we will be supporting the City Inspection staff and reporting to <br /> them during the construction phase. We also understand that the <br /> City may require engineering consultation during the project. We <br /> previously performed a Geotechnical Investigation of the site and <br /> presented the results in a report dated May 6, 1988, and therefore <br /> have the background to provide timely and practical consultation. <br /> Paul Weidig will provide consultation services and David Borchert <br /> will provide project supervision. <br /> <br /> We understand the project will consist of approximately 17,600 <br /> linear feet of pipeline with associated improvements. The project <br /> plans and specifications prepared by Brown and Caldwell dated <br /> March, 1989 will provide guidelines for the work. <br /> <br /> SCOPE oF SERVICES <br /> <br /> We recommend that our scope of services for this project consist <br /> of the following items: <br /> <br /> 1. As requested by the City, provide engineering and <br /> construction method consultation during the construction <br /> operations. <br /> <br /> 2.
