CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 89-187 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1989 WEED <br /> ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING STAFF <br /> TO PROCEED WITH ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, <br /> RUBBISH OR REFUSE UPON OR IN FRONT OF <br /> CERTAIN DESCRIBED PROPERTIES WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF PT~ASANTONWHICR CONSTITUTE <br /> PUBLIC NUISANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 21, 1989, Council adopted <br /> Resolution No. 89-136 declaring as a public <br /> nuisance all weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in <br /> front of certain described properties within the <br /> City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth <br /> in Exhibit "A", attached thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 89-136 was adopted pursuant to <br /> the provisions of Government Code Sections 39501- <br /> 39588; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 89-136 designated April 18, <br /> 1989, at the hour of 7:30 p.m., at the Pleasanton <br /> City Council Chambers, as the time, date and place <br /> to hear and consider objections to the abatement <br /> and removal of weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in <br /> front of certain described properties within the <br /> City of Pleasanton more particularly set forth in <br /> Exhibit "A" to Resolution No. 89-136; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Inspector was charged with the <br /> responsibility to perform the duties imposed by <br /> Government Code Sections 39560-39588, and she did <br /> prepare notices to destroy weeds and remove rubbish <br /> and refuse, and did in the time and manner <br /> prescribed by law cause copies of the notice to be <br /> conspicuously posted on or in front of the property <br /> where the nuisance exists; the City did mail <br /> written notice of the proposed abatement to all <br /> persons owning property described in Resolution No. <br /> 89-136 in the time, form and manner prescribed by <br /> law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on <br /> April 18, 1989, and no one appeared to raise <br /> objections; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
