CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 89-170 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY OF LIVERMORE CITY COUNCIL ADOPT TfIE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE LIVERMORE AIRPORT CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has been concerned about the expansion and impact of the Livermore Airport; and WHEREAS, the City of Livermore and the City of Pleasanton jointly agreed to establish a Citizens Advisory Committee comprised of residents from both communities for the purpose of drafting a report which contained recommendations related to safety, operations and noise abatement; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee met for approximately six months during which time substantial information was acquired regarding airport operations, airport safety and noise abatement procedures; and WHEREAS, the Committee completed its report which contained fifteen recommendations intended to address operational, safety and noise abatement issues, including a recommendation for the City of Livermore to adopt a Noise Abatement Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the report prepared by the Citizens Advisory Committee and is in agreement with the Committee that implementation of the report's recommendations represents a substantial step towards addressing airport operations, safety and noise abatement procedures. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Council unanimously approves the recommendations set forth in the Citizens Advisory Committee report, with the exceptions noted in Section 2 of this resolution. Section 2. The City Council recommends that the City of Livermore adopt the recommendations, including those recommendations related to Sections 1 and 2 of the proposed Noise Abatement Ordinance relating to adoption of the proposed 45-degree departure, with the following exceptions:
