Job No. 16158-0 <br /> <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />To Agreement Dated 1989 Between CITY OF PLEASANTON, hereinafter <br />referred to as "CITY" and MACKAY ~ SOMPS CIVIL ENGINEERS, INC., hereinafter <br />referred to as "CONSULTANT". <br /> <br />CONSULTANT agrees to perform the services as listed in Parts I thru IV. <br /> <br />PART I - PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AND PLANNING <br /> <br />Phase one: Prepare a topographic map at a scale of 1"=20' with the limits of the map to <br /> be: <br /> <br /> 1. The Arroyo del Valle, Railroad Avenue, Angela Street and Peters Avenue; and <br /> <br />Phase two: Preparation of base data and including the following services: <br /> <br /> 1. Perform field surveys for preliminary right of way identification and supplemental <br /> topo. <br /> 2. Research existing record data including records for existing utilities to identify <br /> design constraints. <br /> 3. Meet with City Staff and Downtown Merchants Association to review project, their <br /> respective goals, objectives, needs and concerns. (Such meetings would be <br /> continued throughout the project.) <br /> <br />Phase three: Preparation of Conceptual Design Report and including the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Prepare conceptual design alternatives (at least three alternatives will be provided <br /> for each project) <br /> 2. Each alternative will be evaluated and compared with respect to: : <br /> a. Existing Conditions <br /> b. Geometric configuration <br /> c. Right of way requirements <br /> d. Ingress and egress <br /> e. Impacts of noise, safety, levels of service (noise studies by others) <br /> f. Construction cost and phasing improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
