Draft 2.0 Land Use Element <br />Open Space <br />Policy 15A: Preserve designated open space areas fox the protection of public health and <br />safety, the provision of recreational opportunities, fox agriculture and <br />grazing, for the production of natural resources, for the preservation of <br />wildlands, water management and recreation, and the physical separation of <br />Pleasanton from neighboring communities. <br />Program Preserve open space by way of fee purchase, developer <br />15A.1: dedications, conservation and scenic easements, transfer of <br />development rights, Williamson Act contracts, open_space <br />zoning categories, and other meansete. <br />Policy 16: In the Ridgelands,~reserve the remaining agricultural open space. <br />Pros?ram 16.1: The base density for agricultural areas in the Rid elands is 100 <br />acres ner building site.
