Res. 2171 Page 2 WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on May 19, 1982 at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan amendments; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of mitigated negative declarations as well as negative declarations and environmental impact reports; and WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the City staff covering Items 5 and 6 above indicated that there would not be significant impacts upon the environment by approving these proposed changes; and WHEREAS, the Initial Study prepared by the staff on Items 1 through 4 indicated, there may be significant impacts upon the environment, but that conditions of approval would render these potential significant adverse environmental impacts insignificant. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recommends approval of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the portion of the General Plan covered in Items 1 through 4 of case GP-82-3 because conditions of approval would render these potentially significant adverse environmental impacts insignificant. Section 2. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for Items 5 and 6 of the proposed General Plan inasmuch as approval of these changes would have no significant effect on the environment. Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
