PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR CASE <br />GP-81-3 AS FILED BY .SIDNEY CORRIE, JR. <br />WHEREAS, Sidney Corrie, Jr. has applied for a General Plan <br />amendment to change the land use designation of a 29+ acre <br />site located on Santa Rita Road and bounded by Trenery <br />Drive on the south, Oakland Avenue on the east and the <br />Arroyo Mocho Canal on the north from "Medium Density <br />Residential" to "High Density Residential;" and <br />WHEREAS, the property is zoned "A" (Agricultural) District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 10, 1981 at which time <br />all public testimony and documents were considered; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by <br />Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 10, 1981, <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development dated June 10, 1981 regarding <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed <br />Negative Declaration and the determinations required by <br />Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if <br />a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to <br />ensure that the project will not have a significant impact <br />upon the environment. <br />
