PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A <br />MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR <br />CASE PUD-81-4, APPLICATION OF SOUTHERN PACIFIC <br />TRANSPORTATION COMPANY. <br />WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company has applied for <br />development plan approval of an approximately 80,000 sq. ft. <br />commercial/office development to be located between <br />First Street and the SPRR right-of-way from Angela Street, <br />to the extension of Bernal Avenue and between Neal Street, <br />Angela Street, the SPRR right-of-way and a line approxi- <br />mately 250 ft, east of Main Street and rezoning of the <br />site to PUD-Commercial/Offices; also to rezone the <br />DeLucchi and Wayside Parks located on the west side of <br />First Street between Angela Street and a point approxi- <br />mately 350 ft. north of Neal Street from the C-C (Central <br />Commercial) to PUD (Planned Unit Development-Park) District. <br />The property is zoned C-C (Central Commercial) and O (Office) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 15, 1981 at which time <br />all public testimony and documents were considered; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 15, 1981 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Mitigated Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development dated July 15, 1981 regarding the <br />aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the. City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration and the determinations required by <br />Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />_ proposed environmental assessment, which had previously <br />been published in the Valley Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />
