PLANNING COMMISSTON CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 2030 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOP'LMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE CIRCULATION ELEP~IENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO INDICATE HOPYARD ROAD BETWEEN WEST LAS POSITAS BOULEVARD AND I-580 AS A SIX-LANE MAJOR THOROUGHFARE AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-81-4 WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 15, 1981, the Planning Commission received a request for an amendment to the Circulation Element of the General Plan to indicate Hopyard Road between West Las Positas Boulevard and I-580 as a six-lane thoroughfare rather than a four-lane thorough-fare; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 15, 1981, at which time the Planning Commission reviewed the proposed amendment to the Circulation Element of the General Plan and considered all reports, documents, testimony and recommendations; and WHEREAS, on July 15, 1981 a Negative Declaration regarding the proposed amendment was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission desires to make a change to the Circulation Element of the General Plan at this time as one of the three times during the calendar year such changes may be made. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends approval of the amendment to the Circulation Element of the General Plan to indicate Hopyard Road between West Las Positas Boulevard and I-580 as a six-lane major thoroughfare rather than a four-lane thoroughfare, subject to the following conditions: a• That Hopyard Road shall be a 6-lane thoroughfare from West Las Positas Boulevard north to Highway 1-580. Said thoroughfare to include three through lanes in a southerly direction, three through lanes in a northerly direction, median, bicycle lanes, left/right turn lanes and acceleration/deceleration lanes as required.
