PLANNING COMMISSION <br />_ CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2031 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />PREPARED FOR CASE PUD-81-15, M.A.I. INDUSTRIES, INC. <br />WHEREAS, M.A.I. Industries, Inc. has applied for development <br /> plan approval which would allow the construction of a <br /> 48,000 sq. ft., two-story office building to be <br /> located at the southeast corner of Stoneridge Drive <br /> and Foothill Road; and <br />WHEF.EAS, the property is zoned "PUD-Commercial/Office" District; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 15, 1981 at which <br /> time all pertinent documents and testimony were <br /> considered; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done <br /> pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and <br /> Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 15, 1981, <br /> received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br /> Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br /> and Community Development dated July 15, 1981 regarding <br /> the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br /> of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed <br /> Negative Declaration and the determinations required <br /> by Section 5.4(e) o£ Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/ <br /> her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of <br /> considering the proposed Negative Declaration and <br /> Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunitX to comment on <br /> the proposed environmental assessment, which had previously <br /> been published in the Valley Times, at the time of the <br /> public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br /> Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the <br /> City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the <br /> evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental <br /> Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for <br /> Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports <br /> in order to determine i£ a Negative Declaration is <br /> appropriate for the project and what mitigation <br /> measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the <br /> project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. <br />
