PLANNING COMMISSION _ CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2031 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE PUD-81-15, M.A.I. INDUSTRIES, INC. WHEREAS, M.A.I. Industries, Inc. has applied for development plan approval which would allow the construction of a 48,000 sq. ft., two-story office building to be located at the southeast corner of Stoneridge Drive and Foothill Road; and WHEF.EAS, the property is zoned "PUD-Commercial/Office" District; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 15, 1981 at which time all pertinent documents and testimony were considered; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of July 15, 1981, received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Development dated July 15, 1981 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) o£ Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/ her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunitX to comment on the proposed environmental assessment, which had previously been published in the Valley Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine i£ a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment.
