PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2687 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE DESIGN OF AN INTERIM <br />HELIPORT FOR PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-85-176 <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company of America has applied to <br />construct an interim heliport on a portion of an <br />approximately 2.3 acre site located on the southwest <br />corner of Owens Drive and Chabot Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is IG (General Industrial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at the request of the Design Review Board this item was <br />removed from their agenda and placed on the agenda for <br />full Planning Commission review; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of August 14, 1985 <br />the Planning Commission approved a mitigated negative <br />declaration for the design and use of the heliport after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning the <br />heliport; <br />WHEREAS, the proposed heliport design conforms with the FAA <br />Advisory Circular Guidelines. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section <br />1. Approves Case Z-85-176, application of Prudential <br />Insurance Company of America for design review approval <br />to construct an interim heliport on a portion of an <br />approximately 2.3 acre site located on the southwest <br />corner of Owens Drive and Chabot Drive subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That the heliport facility substantially conform with <br />plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Department <br />except: <br />a) that overall landscape improvements be increased to <br />better screen the passenger ticketing trailer and <br />provide adequate dust control to the satisfaction <br />of staff; <br />b) that plans of the passenger trailer exterior be <br />provided for staff review and approval indicating <br />
