Sec. 2-2.3409 - ALL SIGNS REQUIRE A PERMIT; EXEMPTIONS <br />a. No sign shall be erected, altered or moved without a <br />sign permit. <br />b. The following signs shall be exempt from these <br />regulations: <br />(1) Any sign erected and maintained pursuant to and <br />in discharge of any governmental function or <br />required by any law, ordinance, or government <br />regulations; <br />(2) Political campaign signs maintained in <br />accordance with Article 18.5 of this Chapter. <br />(3) Signs not visible from any public place. <br />c. The Zoning Administrator or his designee shall <br />approve the sign permit prior to said signs erection if the plan <br />conforms to the the final architectural plan for the sign and/or <br />and/or conceptual scheme for temporary signage. <br />Sec. 2-2.3410 - PROHIBITED SIGNS <br />All signs not specifically permitted, excepted, or <br />exempted by provisions of this Article are prohibited. <br />Sec. 2-2.3411 - SIGN INVENTORY <br />Every pe~sat- shall at the time of application for <br />issuance or renewal of a business license after the effective <br />date of this ordinance shall submit on a form provided a sign <br />inventory. This sign inventory shall include the size, location, <br />type, date of first display, and description of every sign <br />appurtenant to the premises on which the business is conducted <br />and visible from a public street or way. Such inventory shall be <br />utilized by the Planning and Community Development Department in <br />creating a record of all signs both conforming and nonconforming <br />to aid in their implementation of these regulations.
