WHEREAS, the Authority held duly noticed public hearings and <br /> approved said Plan on March 22, 1989 after review <br /> by all concerned parties; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton reviewed the Plan adopted by <br /> the Authority on March 22, 1989 and held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing on July 18, 1989 as required <br /> by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has reviewed and considered <br /> all documents described herein, including the Final <br /> EIR for the project, all written material and <br /> public testimony at the public hearing, within the <br /> time period allowed by the Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Environmental Quality Act and state <br /> and local guidelines adopted pursuant thereto <br /> require this city to make findings where the <br /> Environmental Impact Report identifies one or more <br /> significant effects which would be likely to result <br /> from approval of said Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Environmental Impact Report for this project <br /> identifies significant environmental impacts that <br /> would be likely to result from approval of the <br /> Final Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a responsible agency in <br /> the process of preparing and adopting the Alameda <br /> County Hazardous Waste Management Plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City of Pleasanton hereby certifies that the <br /> Final EIR for the project complies with the <br /> requirements of the California Environmental <br /> Quality Act and all applicable state and local <br /> guidelines and is hereby adopted as the <br /> Environmental Impact Report for this project. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City of Pleasanton hereby makes the following <br /> findings pursuant to the California Environmental <br /> Quality Act (Public Resources Code Section 21000 et <br /> seq.): <br /> <br /> A. The Final EIR has identified accidental spills <br /> and leakage and toxic gas emissions as <br /> significant impacts if appropriate control <br /> technology is not installed and maintained. <br /> Mitigation of these significant impacts will <br /> be undertaken by this agency in connection <br /> with either revision of this agency's general <br /> plan to conform to the Alameda County <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
