PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2736 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF CASE GP-84-1, CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br />Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete West <br />Las Positas Boulevard as an arterial east of Santa Rita <br />Road and to designate an extension of Stoneridge Drive <br />east of Santa Rita Road to E1 Charro Road with a <br />conceptual extension to Livermore; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 11, 1985 the Planning Commission held a <br />public hearing regarding this project to review <br />testimony, maps, reports and the staff recommendations <br />regarding the application for the proposed general plan <br />amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />provided proper public notice of completion of the Draft <br />Environmental Impact Report for the proposed General <br />Plan amendment and certified that they had reviewed and <br />considered the information in the final EIR and have <br />determined it to be complete and in compliance with <br />CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section I. Makes the findings with respect to the potential <br />environmental impacts as indicated in the following <br />"Proposed Environmental Impact Findings:" <br />PROPOSED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDINGS <br />Potential Adverse Significant Effects <br />LAND USE <br />Significant Effect: Extension of Stoneridge Drive will <br />result in loss of prime agricultural soils to urban <br />uses. <br />Finding: Loss of prime agricultural soils to urban uses <br />is unmitigatible. <br />Fact: Roads and agricultural uses cannot coexist. <br />Finding: Interim agricultural use may continue until <br />the area is ripe for development. <br />
