PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2736 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE GP-84-1, CITY OF PLEASANTON WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete West Las Positas Boulevard as an arterial east of Santa Rita Road and to designate an extension of Stoneridge Drive east of Santa Rita Road to E1 Charro Road with a conceptual extension to Livermore; and WHEREAS, on December 11, 1985 the Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding this project to review testimony, maps, reports and the staff recommendations regarding the application for the proposed general plan amendment; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton provided proper public notice of completion of the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed General Plan amendment and certified that they had reviewed and considered the information in the final EIR and have determined it to be complete and in compliance with CEQA. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section I. Makes the findings with respect to the potential environmental impacts as indicated in the following "Proposed Environmental Impact Findings:" PROPOSED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FINDINGS Potential Adverse Significant Effects LAND USE Significant Effect: Extension of Stoneridge Drive will result in loss of prime agricultural soils to urban uses. Finding: Loss of prime agricultural soils to urban uses is unmitigatible. Fact: Roads and agricultural uses cannot coexist. Finding: Interim agricultural use may continue until the area is ripe for development.
