PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2686 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA AS FILED UNDER <br />UP-85-19 <br />WHEREAS, Prudential Insurance Company has applied for a <br />conditional use permit to operate an interim heliport <br />for private use on a portion of an approximately 2.3 <br />acre site located on the southeast corner of Owens Drive <br />and Chabot Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property. is IG (General Industrial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of August 14, 1985 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found a) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use is in accord with the <br />objectives of the ordinance code and the purposes of the <br />district in which the site is located; b) that the <br />proposed location of the conditional use and the <br />conditions under which it would be operated or <br />maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, <br />safety or welfare, or be materially injurious to <br />properties or improvements in the vicinity; and c) that <br />the proposed conditional use will comply with each of <br />the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves case UP-85-19, application of Prudential <br />Insurance Company for a conditional use permit to <br />operate an interim heliport for private use on a <br />portion of an approximately 2.3 acre site located on <br />the southeast corner of Owens Drive and Chabot Drive <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That approval is granted solely to establish <br />interim heliport use at this location on the <br />southwest corner of Chabot Drive and Owens Drive. <br />2. That prior to construction of the heliport, all <br />required permits from California State and Federal <br />
