PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2777 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING UP-86-10, APPLICATION OF <br />SIGI OSICKI <br />WHEREAS, Sigi Osicki has applied for a conditional use permit for <br />a sandwich shop to be located within an existing <br />catering establishment located at 7116-A Johnson Drive; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, zoning or the property is I-G-40,000 (General <br />Industrial) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 26, 1986 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found a) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use is in accordance with <br />the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purposes <br />of the district in which the site is located. <br />The sandwich shop will fulfill an important need in the <br />industrial area while not interfering with the overall <br />business activity occurring in the Johnson <br />Drive/Commerce Circle area. The purpose of the General <br />Industrial District is to reserve approximately located <br />sites for manufacturing, warehousing and general <br />industrial uses. A sandwich shop will fulfill a need of <br />the workers within that district; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found b) that the proposed <br />location of the conditional use and the conditions under <br />which it would be operated or maintained will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or <br />materially injurious to the properties or improvements <br />in the vicinity. <br />The sandwich shop will be in an existing building and, <br />therefore, will not be materially injurious to the <br />properties or improvements in the vicinity. The <br />applicant will also obtain all the necessary County <br />health permits and City permits to ensure that the <br />conditions under which it would be operated will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare. <br />The catering kitchen has been approved by the U. S. <br />Department of Agriculture; and <br />
