2.28.050 <br />B. The alternate member can serve as <br />a voting member on any subcommittee <br />of the Human Services Commission and <br />may be designated as the Human Ser- <br />vices Commission representative to <br />other boazds and commissions. (Prior <br />Code § 1-3.32.25) <br />2.28.060 Maintenance Of <br />Membership: <br />A. Persons appointed to the Human <br />Services Commission shall continue to <br />serve as members of the Commission <br />except when: <br />1. The member's term of office to <br />the Commission expires; <br />2. The member voluntarily resigns <br />from the Commission; <br />3. The member is absent from one- <br />third (t/3) of the regulaz meetings within <br />a six (6) month period as provided in <br />Section 2.32.090 of this Title; <br />4. The member fails to maintain a <br />residence in the City. <br />B. It shall be the duty of the secre- <br />tary of the Commission to inform the <br />Council when any of the above occurs. <br />(Ord. 1507 § 1, 1991; Prior Code <br />§ 1-3.32.30) <br />2.28.070 Vacancies: <br />Vacancies on the Commission arising <br />from the provisions of Section 2.28.060 <br />of this Chapter shall be filled in accor- <br />dance with the procedures set forth in <br />Section 2.28.030 of this Chapter and <br />shall be for the unexpired term. (Prior <br />Code § 1-3.32.35) <br />2.28.080 Meetings: <br />A. Regulaz meetings shall be held <br />monthly with time and place and date <br />set by resolution of the Commission. <br />B. Special meetings may be called by <br />the chairperson, or any five (5) mem- <br />bers of the Commission, provided writ- <br />ten notice is given twenty four (24) <br />hours in advance of the special meeting <br />to the following: each Commission <br />member, local newspapers of general <br />circulation, and anyone filing written <br />request for notice with the City Clerk. <br />Notice of meetings shall comply in all <br />respects with section 54950 et seq., of <br />the Government Code, known common- <br />ly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. <br />C. All meetings shall be public; <br />agendas shall be prepazed; minutes of <br />all meetings shall be kept and filed <br />with the City Council, the City Manag- <br />er/City Clerk, and the Director of Rec- <br />reation and Human Resources. (Prior <br />Code § 1-3.32.40) <br />2.28.090 Quorum And Voting: <br />A. A majority of the regular mem- <br />bers shall constitute a quorum for the <br />transaction of business. <br />B. A majority vote of those present <br />shall be required for any Commission <br />action to be taken. (Ord. 1785 § 1, <br />1999; Prior Code § 1-3.32.45) <br />2.28.100 Officers: <br />A. The Commission, by majority <br />vote, shall appoint for a term of one <br />(Pleasanton April 2000) 28 <br />
