6.40.230 <br />1. Location where passengers entered <br />vehicle. <br />2. Time of entry. <br />3. Location where passengers were <br />discharged. <br />4. Number of passengers. <br />5. Amount of fare collected. <br />6. The major street routes the driver <br />took to arrive at the passenger's desti- <br />nation. <br />B. The owner of every such taxicab <br />shall keep the manifests in his or her <br />office files for a period of not less than <br />ninety (90) days after date of service is <br />rendered, and the same shall be open to <br />examination by an authorized represen- <br />tative of the Chief of Police. The falsi- <br />fying of any manifest by an owner or <br />by a driver shall be grounds for revoca- <br />tion of the driver's permit and/or <br />owner's certificate. (Ord. 1744 § 1, <br />1998) <br />6.40.240 Taxicabs From Other <br />Municipalities: <br />The driver of a taxicab authorized to <br />operate in any municipality other than <br />the City may transport passengers from <br />such municipality to a destination with- <br />in or beyond the City limits; provided, <br />that the driver of such taxicab shall not <br />seek or accept passengers within the <br />City except upon the return trip to such <br />other municipality, and shall accept <br />only passengers whose destinations are <br />directed to a point beyond the limits of <br />the City in the direction of the munici- <br />pality from which such taxicab came. <br />(Ord. 1744 § 1, 1998) <br />6.40.250 Complaint Procedure By <br />Passengers: <br />A. Complaints: The fare-paying pas- <br />sengers utilizing a taxicab authorized <br />under this Chapter shall have the right <br />to file a complaint against the owner or <br />driver of a taxicab. The Chief of Police <br />will accept and investigate complaints <br />received from fare-paying passengers. <br />B. Complaint Form: Every taxicab <br />authorized to operate under this Chapter <br />shall have readily displayed in the <br />passenger area a copy of the complaint <br />procedure with a blank form stating <br />with whom to file the complaint. <br />C. Investigation Of Complaint: A <br />thorough investigation of all complaints <br />will be made and the investigation will <br />be labeled either "sustained", "unfound- <br />ed" or "sustained on grounds of other <br />improprieties". Appropriate action will <br />then be taken on complaints sustained <br />or sustained on grounds of other impro- <br />prieties. If the owner of the taxicab <br />company or the driver of a taxicab <br />receives two (2) sustained or sustained <br />on grounds of other improprieties in a <br />six (6) month period, the owner's cer- <br />tificate or driver's permit may be sus- <br />pended for one week. If additional <br />sustained complaints are received, the <br />certificate or driver's permit may be <br />revoked by the Chief of Police.
