15.08.420 <br />dance with the cost of providing service <br />for each agency, including all wastewater <br />treatment costs incurred by the district. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.40) <br />15.08.460 School: <br />"School" means any public or private <br />institution of learning which discharges <br />into the city's sewerage system primarily <br />sanitary sewage. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; <br />Prior Code § 2-15.01.44) <br />15.08.430 Residential Discharge <br />Equivalent (RDE): <br />"Residential discharge equivalent <br />(RDE)" means a sewage discharge equal <br />in volume and strength to the discharge <br />from a typical single-family dwelling, as <br />such discharge shall be determined from <br />time to time by the director. Sewage <br />discharge, for purposes of calculating <br />RDE, shall be comprised of flow, BOD <br />and SS, and any other constituent which <br />may be added from time to time by the <br />director. (Ord. 1082 § 2, <br />1983; Prior Code § 2-15.01.42) <br />15.08.450 Sanitary Sewage: <br />"Sanitary sewage" means wastewater <br />containing only human excrement and <br />sanitary and household wastes derived <br />from dwellings or other places of abode, <br />institutions, restaurants and restrooms, <br />locker rooms, showers, and washrooms of <br />commercial and industrial premises. (Ord. <br />1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code § 2-15.01.43) <br />15.08.470 Auxiliary (Secondary) Unit: <br />"Auxiliary (secondary) unit" means any <br />dwelling unit added to a lot of a single- <br />family dwelling unit as defined in Gov- <br />ernment Code section 65852.2, as may be <br />amended or as provided in city of <br />Pleasanton local ordinances. Also referred <br />to as "in-law unit", "au pair unit", "granny <br />unit", "auxiliary dwelling unit", "guest <br />unit", or "second unit".
