15.08.070 <br />15.08.070 Chemical Oxygen Demand <br />(COD): <br />"Chemical oxygen demand (COD)" <br />means the measure of oxygen utilized in <br />the oxidation of the organic matter in a <br />sample of sewage by a strong oxidant, as <br />determined by the method of testing for <br />COD pursuant to the standard methods. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.06) <br />15.08.080 City: <br />"City" means the city of Pleasanton, <br />county of Alameda, state of California. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.07) <br />15.08.090 City Council: <br />"City council" means the city council <br />of the city. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior <br />Code § 2-15.01.08) <br />15.08.100 City Sewer: <br />"City sewer" means any sewer serving <br />as a part of the sewerage system which is <br />owned by the city. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; <br />Prior Code § 2-15.01.09) <br />15.08.120 Commercial Garbage <br />Grinder: <br />"Commercial gazbage grinder" means a <br />mechanical unit for pulverizing lazge <br />quantities of wastes by a commercial user. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.11) <br />15.08.130 Commercial User: <br />"Commercial user" means any nonresi- <br />dential user that the director determines <br />discharges to the sewerage system primaz- <br />ily sanitary sewage. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; <br />Prior Code § 2-15.01.12) <br />15.08.140 Condominium: <br />"Condominium" means three (3) or <br />more attached dwelling units, consisting <br />of an undivided interest in common in a <br />portion of real property coupled with a <br />sepazate interest in a space called a dwell- <br />ing unit. (Ord. 1895 § 1, 2003; Ord. 1203 <br />§ 2, 1985; Frior Code § 2-15.01.12.5) <br />15.08.150 County: <br />"County" means the county of <br />Alameda. (Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior <br />Code § 2-15.01.13) <br />15.08.110 Commercial Building: <br />"Commercial building" means any <br />building devoted principally to a nonresi- <br />dential use allowed by the zoning ordi- <br />nance codified in title 18 of this code. <br />(Ord. 1082 § 2, 1983; Prior Code <br />§ 2-15.01.10) <br />15.08.160 Developer: <br />"Developer" means any person who <br />applies to the city for permission to build, <br />improve, expand or convert any premises <br />or tract of land to a use which will re- <br />quire the use of, or expanded use of, the <br />sewerage system.
