There is adopted by reference that certain code known as the uniform mechanical code, more particularly described in this section, except as amended, modified or deleted in this chapter, and the same is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this chapter. B. Said code is the California Build- ing Standards Code 2001 edition (24 CCR), and including by reference the uniform mechanical code, 2000 edition, and appendix chapters A, B, C and D, published by the International Associa- tion of Plumbing and Mechanical Offi- cials. One copy of this code is on file with the city clerk for use by the pub- lic. C. Where there is a reference in the code to the "administrative authority" it shall mean the "chief building official" or in the absence of the chief, the inter- im, temporary or acting chief building official. Every permit issued by the building official under the provisions of the uniform codes as adopted in this article shall expire by limitation and become null and void if one or more of the following conditions occur: 1.
