There is adopted by reference that <br />certain code known as the uniform <br />mechanical code, more particularly <br />described in this section, except as <br />amended, modified or deleted in this <br />chapter, and the same is adopted and <br />incorporated as fully as if set out at <br />length in this chapter. <br />B. Said code is the California Build- <br />ing Standards Code 2001 edition (24 <br />CCR), and including by reference the <br />uniform mechanical code, 2000 edition, <br />and appendix chapters A, B, C and D, <br />published by the International Associa- <br />tion of Plumbing and Mechanical Offi- <br />cials. One copy of this code is on file <br />with the city clerk for use by the pub- <br />lic. <br />C. Where there is a reference in the <br />code to the "administrative authority" it <br />shall mean the "chief building official" <br />or in the absence of the chief, the inter- <br />im, temporary or acting chief building <br />official. (Ord. 1869 § 4, 2002; Ord. <br />1778 § 4, 1999; Ord. 1669 § 4, 1995; <br />Ord. 1561 § 5, 1992; Ord. 1449 § 4, <br />1990; Ord. 1385 § 4, 1988; Ord. 1169 <br />§ 6, 1984; Prior Code § 2-14.28) <br />20.16.014 Section 114.4 Amended - <br />Expiration: <br />Section 114.4 of the California <br />Building Standards Code 2001 Edition <br />(24 C.C.R.), and including by reference <br />the Uniform Mechanical Code is <br />amended to read as follows: <br />114.4 Expiration. <br />Every permit issued by the building <br />official under the provisions of the <br />uniform codes as adopted in this <br />article shall expire by limitation and <br />become null and void if one or more <br />of the following conditions occur: <br />1.
